The Celebrity Edge Reveal

The new reveal of the Celebrity Edge has some cutting edge features in modern design.  In fact some of the world’s best designers came together to make the EDGE a winner amongst cruise ships.  The staterooms are designed with a modern elegance adding in touches of colour by London designer Kelly Hoppen.  Our celebrity Nate Berkus heads up as the design ambassador, and Tom Wright brings in his architectural skills for an award winner.  Find out more in our article below why we think this is sure to be a favourite amongst cruisers.

The Edge features

The EDGE is the first ship of its kind to have your outdoor space becomes part of your stateroom in the Infinite Veranda with a push of a button.   With sleek glass doors than unfold bringing in the tropical ocean breezes.   These staterooms have larger bathrooms & inside space with cozy cashmere bedding that is sure to please any guest.

The Edge Villa

The Edge Villa is a stunning 2 level suite which includes a private veranda, a 3 – foot deep plunge pool, and direct access to the Suite Sundeck.  A total of 6 suites are on the new Celebrity Edge.  This luxury villa sleep 4, equipped with 2 bathrooms, a personal butler, and exclusive access to the Luminae Restaurant.

The Magic Carpet

The magic carpet picture below glides up & down the starboard side of the ship designed by Tom Wright who created the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai.  The magic carpet transforms the space depending on which deck it is on.  On deck 16 it becomes an extension for dinner on the deck, deck 14 an extension of the main pool for live music, deck 5 an extension of a specialty restaurant “Raw on 5”, and deck 2 you can access a tender for a destination gateway.

More about the EDGE

The Celebrity Edge was built using 3D technology and simulators. The ship will hold a crew of 1,320 with about 2,918 guests onboard.  The ratio of crew to guests continues at 2-1 giving Celebrity’s guest the excellent service they have come to love.  At a maximum speed of 22 knots the Edge is set for its first voyage out of Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on December 1, 2018.

For those who like to take to the Eastern Caribbean to cruise the Edge stops in ports at San Juan, Puerto Rico, Tortola in the British Islands, Phillipsburg, St. Maartan.  For the Western Caribbean cruisers the Edge will sail through Florida’s Key West, both ports Costa Maya & Cozumel in Mexico, and finally Georgetown in the Grand Caymans.
