About Belize

​

Belize is a small country between Mexico and Guatemala with 7 different regions.  From ancient Maya cities, and rainforests filled with 500 species of birds to the 2nd largest barrier reef named by Jacques Costeau as one of the best in the world, you’ll be amazed that it has something for everyone.

​

Caye Caulker is a small laid-back island of only 4 miles long and 1 mile across.  With limestone coral and turquoise waters, this small island is easily accessed by renting a bicycle or golf cart.

​

The Barrier Reef houses beautiful and wondrous water-loving friends, dolphins (which seem to love accompanying boats), manatees, sea turtles, sting rays, sharks, and an array of fish, shellfish, and invertebrates that make Belize their home.

​

With warm temperatures all year, the best time to go is during the dry season from February to May. 

​

Philip S.W. Goldson is the International Airport (PGIA) with smaller airports centrally located.

​

The currency here is Belizean Dollar (BZD) or most places accept USD.  Electricity is 110 volts/220 volts, the plugs compatability:  Type A, Type B, and Type G.

Where we're staying

RETREAT DATES:  FEBRUARY 3-10, 2024


We'll be staying at the Blu Zen located approximately 1.5 miles North of Caye Caulker village, a short 5-minute boat ride from the centre of town.  A stunning boutique resort located on the breathtaking beaches of Caye Caulker, Belize with 2 bedroom condos.

Spend the week in the Caribbean immersed in nature, listening to the sound of birds while swaying in a hammock. The perfect white-sand beach, warm-winter getaway location.

Traveling solo?

Perfect! We will match you with a compatible solo traveler with whom you are comfortable to share an apartment with.

  • 4:30-5:30pm Yin/Restorative Yoga (alternates before & after dinner)

About the meals

​

Our onsite restaurant Lotus offers local cuisine and Thai influenced dining. La Fogata, is a new Pizza restaurant that offers wood fired Pizza’s.  Using only the best local ingredients, our chefs prepare creative dishes celebrating local produce and seafood with a touch of Thai flavours mixed in.  A varied menu to accommodate requests for vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meals is available.

Breakfast served from 7:30 - 11:00 am

Lunch served from 11:00 - 5;30 pm

Dinner served from 5:30 pm - until close

Getting there

International flights are available from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) or Buffalo Airport (BUF) to Belize City. (BZE)

 

Caye Caulker is easily accessible by boat or by air. You may choose a 10-minute flight from the Phillip Goldson International Airport in Belize City or a 60-minute boat ride, also from Belize City. Once you arrive at Caye Caulker by either option a complimentary boat will be waiting for you to bring you to the venue. The retreat is located on the northern side of Caye Caulker, a short 5-minute boat ride from Caye Caulker Village.

Boat Option:

Our airport representative will meet you at the arrival hall with a welcome sign and will drive you to the water taxi terminal. Upon arrival check in your bags, collect your luggage tags, proceed to their ticket booth, and purchase boat tickets. The taxi ride has a cost of $30.00 US for 1-2 persons, if its more than 2 persons then its $10US per person, and boat tickets have an approximate cost of $39.00 US per person round trip. Flight Option:

Kindly provide us with your international flight arrival details and we'll be happy to assist with your booking your local connecting flights to Caye Caulker. Round trip flight tickets have a cost of $175.00 US per person. When you arrive in Caye Caulker, we use a local taxi driver that charges $5US per person to our boat station. When you arrive at our boat station our Captain and crew will be there to assist you and bring you over to our resort on the next scheduled complimentary run.  You can see flight options here via Tropic Air: https://www.tropicair.com/.

Sea View Residences

Our luxurious and well-appointed condos are designed to provide you with the utmost comfort and relaxation during your stay. Two bedrooms condo includes a Master with en-suite bathroom, full kitchen, living room and second bathroom and private terrace, located on the ground or second floor with views of the sea, lush gardens or infinity pool.  29 units are available.
Note:  There are no twin beds available in each condo.

Doubles pricing for anyone sharing a bedroom (in shared 2 bedroom condo): $2499 USD per person / food included
 

Single pricing (with 2 people total in the suite, 1 person in each private bedroom)): $2899 USD  per person/ food included

Quad Room Rate (with 4 people total in the suite. Must have a group of 4  friends traveling together)
